Referring to Mr. May's Despatch

No. 163 of the 22nd. June, 1907, and to Your Lordship's

reply of August 1st., 1907, I have the honour to transmit

a further memorial addressed to Your Lordship by Mr. R. A.

J. Savage, Superintendent of Kails, praying for an increase

of salary

This Officer was appointed

Supervisor at the General Fost Office in February, 1902,

upon a salary of £200 rising to £245 per annum. In May,

1903, he was granted £230 rising to £280 per annum, and

in January, 1904, upon appointment as Superintendent of

Mails, he was allowed to draw £255 per annum.

In January, 1906, his salary was

increased to £280 per annum, and in January, 1907, it was

further raised to £300 rising to £345 per annum by trien-

-nial increments of £15. He also draws an overtime allow-

-ance.
